This session explores how project managers can harness AI to transform raw project data into strategic insights. Dr. Khalid will showcase tools for advanced Earned Value Analysis and financial forecasting, moving beyond reactive reporting to proactive leadership. Participants will learn how to design AI-driven productivity tools that enhance decision-making, optimize resources, and build a foundation for smarter project governance.
Dr. Khalid Ahmad Khan, President of PMI Lahore Chapter and Pakistan’s first PMP, has over 25 years of experience in policy and project management. He established PMOs across government bodies and pioneered Earned Value Management practices, serving as the founding DG of Monitoring & Evaluation, Punjab. A professor at Riphah International University and recipient of PMI’s Leadership Impact Award, he has advised LUMS, World Bank, USAID, and GiZ.

Ammarah Shahzad is Project Manager at NESPAK with 20+ years’ experience in project management, contracts, and stakeholder engagement. She holds PMI-RMP and PMP credentials and has served as PMI Lahore Chapter’s Director of Memberships since 2014.
Zaka ul Mustafa Awan is Director Projects at Presto Engineering, with 20+ years leading infrastructure projects. A pioneer PMI-CP™ in Pakistan, he has introduced digital workflows, 3D/4D/5D modeling, and sustainable practices across the industry.

Naureen Sheikh is a PMP® and PSM-certified leader with 15+ years of global experience in AI, cloud, and enterprise software delivery. Known for driving Agile transformations and digital innovation, she has guided organizations in adopting AI and mentors young professionals in technology and project leadership.

Environmental Due Diligence (EDD) & Effective Project Management
This session emphasizes the role of Environmental Due Diligence in ensuring project sustainability. Participants will learn about the State Bank of Pakistan’s ESG guidelines, global best practices, and local regulatory frameworks shaping EDD. By applying business-case approaches, project managers can integrate environmental and social risk management into planning and execution. The session highlights EDD as a strategic tool for aligning sustainability with organizational and investor expectations.
Ali Amjad, a Chemical Engineer with a Master’s in Energy & Environmental Engineering, has 9 years of experience in the paints and coatings sector and currently serves as WWF Pakistan’s Water & Energy Expert. Passionate about sustainability, he has led youth programs, taught SDG-focused courses, and advocates for ESG integration in projects.

Sufyan Ahmed is a Ph.D. Scholar in Project Management with 17+ years of leadership in healthcare and community projects at Alkhidmat Foundation. He has served as CEO and Managing Director, specializing in strategic planning, governance, and Benefits Realization Management (BRM). His research focuses on sustaining project benefits through strategic alignment and collaboration.

Dr. Ata will share best practices for designing governance frameworks that safeguard investments, maximize returns, and support sustainable outcomes. The session also emphasizes how effective governance bridges strategy and execution, ensuring projects consistently deliver intended benefits.
Dr. Ata Ul Musawir, Ph.D. (University of Malaya), is a governance expert and PMP-certified professional. His research, published in leading journals, has shaped PMI’s Benefits Realization Management Guide. He has lectured internationally and consulted widely on project governance. With experience at HSBC Malaysia and academia, he is recognized as a thought leader in governance-driven project success.
