From Vision to Reality: Celebrating 20 Years of PMI Lahore's Success
This session reflects on the 20-year journey of the PMI Lahore Chapter, exploring its key achievements, strategic milestones, and challenges. Dr. Khalid will showcase how the chapter has evolved and its future direction in advancing project management in Lahore.
Dr. Khalid Ahmad Khan is a seasoned expert with over 25 years of experience in policy and project management. He was instrumental in establishing Project Management Offices and pioneering Earned Value Project Management in Punjab's public sector. As a founding member and current President of the PMI Lahore Chapter, Dr. Khalid holds the honor of being the first PMP in Pakistan. He is also a Professor of Project Management at Riphah International University and has been recognized with the PMI Leadership Impact Award in 2023. His consulting portfolio includes collaborations with LUMS, the World Bank, USAID, and GiZ.

Galen Townson, PMI Board Director, will present PMI’s innovative PMIxAI initiative, which integrates Generative AI (GenAI) into project management. This session will explore PMI’s strategy to equip professionals with advanced AI tools, transforming project management by boosting efficiency, innovation, and success. Attendees will learn how PMI is driving AI adoption to help the global project management community excel in an evolving digital landscape.
Galen Townson, EMBA, CDir, PMP, has served on PMI’s Board of Directors since 2019 and chairs the Strategy Oversight Committee. With over 30 years of experience in strategy execution across sectors like education, energy, and government, he has also worked with the United Nations on sustainable development. Galen is a global speaker, Chartered Director, and holds an Executive MBA from the University of Western Australia.

Dr. Iram Irshad Bhatti is a Leadership Coach, People & Performance Analyst, and the founder of the Center for Positive Psychology. With over 15 years of experience, she specializes in Positive Psychology Interventions (PPIs) and executive coaching, helping leaders and organizations achieve peak performance. She has trained leaders across multinational corporations, government sectors, and educational institutions. Dr. Iram also established Pakistan’s first Happiness Research Lab, focusing on workplace happiness and leadership effectiveness. As a sought-after keynote speaker and facilitator, she is recognized for her expertise in leadership and resilience.

Dr. Jamshed Hasan Khan is a Professor Emeritus at Suleman Dawood School of Business. He specializes in Total Quality Management, Operations Strategy, and Statistics. Dr. Khan has extensive experience designing executive education programs for senior executives and consulting on ISO 9000 implementation. His hands-on approach has driven quality and productivity enhancement programs in various industries. His notable publications include work on inter-firm linkages and cost analysis of poor quality in Pakistan's automotive industry. Before joining LUMS, he taught at the University of Texas at Arlington and is also a certified systems professional from the USA.
Dr. Shazia Nauman
Bridging Theory and Practice: Thoughtlets and PMJ College Initiatives
Professor of Project Management at Riphah School of Business and Management, Lahore, also serves as Assistant Dean at the Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC) at Riphah International University. She is the first to launch a PhD in Project Management program in Pakistan and has supervised over 100 Master’s dissertations. With 14 years of experience, her research interests lie in organizational behavior, human resource, and project management.
Dr. Shazia has received research grants from HEC and ORIC, chaired national and international conference sessions, and earned best paper awards from prestigious platforms like the Academy of Management. Her work has been published in renowned journals, including the International Journal of Project Management, Personnel Review, and Journal of Applied Psychology.
Anum & Ahmed Uzair
Finding Your Purpose: Journey Beyond the Comfort Zone
Anum and Ahmed Uzair, the first Pakistani couple to summit an 8000m peak, will share their inspiring journey of overcoming physical and mental challenges. Their story embodies resilience, determination, and the courage to step beyond comfort zones in pursuit of purpose. Through their mountaineering and long-distance running experiences, they motivate others to embrace challenges and live a purposeful, healthy life.
Anum Uzair, a forensic scientist, athlete, and Pakistan’s leading female mountaineer, is the first Pakistani woman to summit Mount Manaslu (8163m) and Broad Peak (8051m). Together, Anum and Ahmed promote adventure tourism and a healthy lifestyle.
Ahmed Uzair, a Barrister and technology lawyer, specializes in tech startup investments and advises on regulatory reforms. He also leads the Fateh Mohammad Foundation, improving education for over 1000 students.

With a holistic approach, Hinaf fosters a deep sense of balance and connection, supporting participants in achieving overall wellbeing. Her sessions are crafted to enhance both physical and mental health, providing tools for a more mindful, balanced lifestyle.
