CONSTRUCTION TRENDS IN SAUDI ARABIA

PMI Lahore Chapter will be presenting a seminar on Construction trends in Saudi Arabia on Friday 27 November 2015 at 4 pm.

The seminar will be presented by Engr. Muhammed Azhar, a Mechanical Engineer from UET presently working in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The seminar will contain information on what type of projects are being carried out in KSA, the currents trends, how projects are initiated, planned, executed, monitored & controlled and closed, the working environment in KSA and how to work in KSA.

The speaker:

The speaker for the seminar is Engr. Muhammed Azhar. Engr. Azhar is a Mechanical Engineer from UET Lahore with post graduate diploma in Project Management from AIOU Islamabad. He is a PMP, a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) green associate, Quality Management System (QMS) Lead Auditor, API 653 above ground storage tank inspector and ASNT NDT Level II inspector. He has over 19 years of Project Management experience and has worked in Pakistan as well as Saudi Arabia. Presently he working as Deputy Project Manager in Saud Consult in Riyadh, KSA.

Saudi Arabia

• Construction of King Abdullah Financial District Riyadh. KAFD is LEED Registered Project
• Construction of King Abdullah University of Science & Technology. KAUST Campus is Saudi Arabia’s first LEED Certified Project and World’s largest LEED Platinum Campus
• Saudi Aramco Lubricating Oil CO. (LUBEREF), Jeddah and Yanbu. MEP, civil, electrical new installations, modifications, repairs and renovation of facilities, offices and administration block.
• Cristal (Titanium Dioxide) Electro Mechanical Project Yanbu, Saudi Arabia Installation of Chlorine and Pigment Plant, metallic and non-metallic piping, tanks, and equipment.

Pakistan

• White Oil Pipeline Project (WOPP)-Pakistan. White Oil Pipeline Project is 820 Km Port Qasim to Mehmood Kot Cross Country finished petroleum products 26” diameter Pipeline with 2 pumping stations and 2 terminal stations.
• Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore Pakistan
• PARCO Mid Country Refinery Project (MCRP) Pakistan. Biggest refinery in Pakistan with capacity of 100,000 barrels per day production, Tank Farm area.
• Uch Gas Field – Baluchistan Pakistan
• Kadinwari Flow Line-Sindh Pakistan
• Nand Pur Gas Field – Punjab Pakistan

In the presentation Mr. Azhar will discuss the under construction project related to King Abdullah Financial District, Riyadh. He will also discuss the working environment in Saudi Arabia.
